Don't rock the boat,
Don't run the risk,
Don't risk your neck,
I was said into the ear, over and over again,
Risk, risk, risk, risk!
Calculated risk, risk management, risk fear, wise risk…..
A fear of change, a fear of upsetting ‘'friends'',
Is life about change? Is life about motion? Mutation? Transformation?
Is life about quietness? Conservatism? Stillness?
Break free, break free, break free,
I want to fly like a bird,
I want to run wild with the pack of dogs,
I want to swim in the ocean,
Express myself, express myself, express myself,
I have no shackles,
I am an unbridled strong horse,
No man is my keeper, no one is my feeder,
I am a free thinker, I am the innovator,
Without distraction, without care,
Uncommitted, unconfined, unconstrained,
I simply don't care,
I don't give a hoot,
I am even oblivious to my own freedom!
I have a disregard for all worries, all concerns,
It matters not a jut,
I spread my wings and fly into my thought,
I sail on my consciousness, my deliberations, my expectations,
I float the ship of my triumphs, achievements, trophies,
They also are all of no concern!
I am in a state of not giving a damn,
I feel like a Sudanese Skunk, a Sumalian pirate,
I feel like a Jamaican disco dancer,
Like a Cambodian man escaping the Khmer Rouge genocide,
I feel like a Mexican drug lord,
Or like El Chapo, Frank Lucas,
Illusive, dangerously corrosive, toxically destructive,
I say what I think, I think, I use my gray matters,
I risk life and limb,
I take the bloody risk,
Nobody can get to you,
Nobody can take away your thoughts,
Nobody can enslave the figments of your imagination,
Nobody can capture your intelligence,
Nobody can imprison your dreams,
Nobody can dominate your aspirations,
No body can patronize you.
