I feel distantly numb
The expression on my face is none
And as I reach my hand into the cold, red water
I lose contact with my spirit
And have an out-of-body experience
I do not pull away
An unknown force is causing me to stay
I look up at the photographs
In front of my face
There's a number 2 on mine in the picture
A frown on my mother's
A question mark on my brother's
The entity in the water surrounds me
And pulls me off my feet
She pulls me inside the pictures,
the memories I do not care to see
She's not trying to be cruel, but to understand me
When she knows I'm upset we change the scene
We get through all the photographs, not one making me pleased
She frowns and puts her hand on my face and says,
'You're just like me...'
