The days they seem to go on by
But slowly drags on are the nights
What do I do
I am missing you

I tuck the children into a bed
Sometimes a story I might have read
I can see their eyes
You are missing from their lives

Honey we are doing all right
Then one will say your name
Another sleepless night
Honey it’s not the same

I wake them like I’m supposed to
Get them ready then off to school
Another day we face
To somehow get through

We are doing all right
But from heavens light
Can you see me…
Can you see me lie

It’s supposed to be you in life
Walking at my side
It’s supposed to be you
To help me through

It’s supposed to be you and I
Somehow it just isn’t right
But we are doing all right…
