But Not For Me! Poem by Mohit Dhawan

But Not For Me!

I was there, blind behind the guide,
in darkness, even theater can't provide,
moon was spread in sparkling glee,
light was infinite, but not for me,

Then came the dawn, buring darkness,
like old tired grass off a fresh lawn,
they came arm in arm, singing love songs,
being a rusty pawn, eyes were my lone plea,
touch was infinite, but not for me,

I left being guided, at the twilight,
searched an offer, for an end of this plight,
world was setting off, alive was hope-wee
sadness was infinite, but not for me.
