Blind Love Poem by Danni King

Blind Love

Watching you from afar,
Wish I was there holding your hand
Walking next to you
Sharing my love and pain
Is this the hardest thing a girl can do?

You stare at me so blankly
It’s as though you’re looking straight through me
You walk past with not even the slight bit of recognition in your face
As if know one was there
Just an empty space

Walking next to me is a shadow
Of what used to be you
Walking down the beach together
Rolling down the hill over the park
All these things we used to do together
We said no matter what it would last

Now so long ago I touched you
I was yours to do what ever you wished
But know I’m know ones
My heart is like an empty container
No love, no passion to fill it

This is the hardest thing a girl can do
Pour her heart out to the shadow in which is you
But sooner or later you’ll forget completely
My love for you, my love for us
But I will never forget
