Best Man. Poem by RAVIKIRAN ARAKKAL

Best Man.

He followed her like
A shadow,
Over and near the altar,
With memories
Of his having spent,
His best times with her,
In and out of bed,
Just that he din't have
The dough to marry her,
But knowing that
She will have the best time,
Only with him,
Even after her wedding,
Only to enhance their
Best times they have had
Together, wondering
How people are wedded
To money than man and woman,
Feeling how thye will
Play the hide and seek
Game with his friend
Who is the bridegroom
Rich over their heads,
But can keep the bride
And the best man most happy.
