And Then ...? Poem by Sandra E. Myers

And Then ...?

Floods, famine, disease and crime,
Does it show the end of time?
Asteroids, earthquakes, tidal waves too,
The Scientists say will be here soon
Doomsday! The world calls out in fear,
The end of the world is very near.

There is no need for anxiety and fear
Christ will come for those He holds dear
he came to earth to die in our place
And he saves us through His amazing Grace
He rose again to give victory over the grave
he wants everyone of us to be saved
But not all are in His strong arms
Some will face eternal harm
They have rejected God's only Son
On a different path they run.

So when the world is caught in fear
Open your heart and your ear
We do not know when Christ will come
But do not go through life like some
They plan their time they do not have
They say to others I'm not so bad

And then eternity they must face
Only they have not received His Grace
So to the depths of hell they plunge
All because they rejected His Son.

But for those who repent and turn to Christ
Their adventure is a wonderful flight
Pearly gates are opened wide
For all who have Christ inside
And they will enjoy eternal bliss
So heaven I beg you do not miss.
