A Friend Of Mine Poem by Cynthia Pardede

A Friend Of Mine

A friend of mine is a tough one
One day she had a problem with her health
Went to hospital by herself
Spent one night in the patient room alone
Diagnosed with liver disease
No one knew no one accompanied

A friend of mine is a tough one
She hated being judged
She loathed hypocrites
She was a drunker
She loved nightlife
She thought she fell from grace

A friend of mine is a tough one
She went to church
She prayed to Jesus
She went to work
She dreamt of college
She hoped

A friend of mine is a tough one
Some people might think she's just a rubbish
Unfixable was her soul
But e'en the angels take care of her and I too
Some people might laugh
Because they don't know that she has already been saved
