Your Song Poem by John Leon

Your Song

I replace a string to make it sing,
Sing a song of silly things
Thoughts meander in my mind,
I hardly find the time
To make them fit and rhyme
Replaced a string,
But not the song
Hear it ringing?
It speaks your name
Gently hums your eyes and mane
Whispers of your fragile frame
Screaming 'let her go', in vain
All these songs are all the same
