My darling you take my breath away.
Your love is safe and secure.
Your love is understanding and patient.
Your love holds and contains me.
Your love is not judgemental
It’s supportive.
Your love is strong and moving.
Your love has changed me for the better,
Your love has been a light in my darkness -
A hand to take me through.

Your love has caught me when I’ve fallen -
Pulls me together when I’m crumbling.
Your love has been with me
As I’ve trudged through the murky waters.
Your love has pushed me up hill
Towards my dreams.
Your love has never given up on me
Or ever turned against me.
Your love has remained calm in my rages
And wiped away my tears.
Your love has comforted me
Through the most heartbroken nights.
It has still been there
As I open my eyes from the nightmare.
Your love is more than a dream,
Your love is my reality
That I wrap around myself when I find myself alone.
I’m not alone,
Your love is always in my mind -
Along with your smile and your deep black eyes.

Your love has saved me darling.
You found me at my worst,
Stood close through every storm,
Without ever turning your back on me.

When I doubted myself most
You made me feel special.
When I felt myself useless
You showed me my worth.
When I had given up,
You took my hand and led the way.

I was lost in life’s forest
You guided me to the opening,
For the first time I can feel the warm
Sunlight of your love rest upon my face.
For the first time I can breathe in the air
As the birds of hope fly overhead.

Suddenly I’m floating,
In your arms I am safe.
I’m gliding through life with assurance.
Every time I breathe you in
It feels like daybreak.
