Your Desires Poem by Robert Edgar Burns

Your Desires

If I could only read your mind,
To see what’s in your heart.
And learn if I am also there,
Even in the smallest part.

I know that you can read my mind,
Just like an open book.
Nothing’s ever there but you,
Each time you take a look.

For you do know how much I care,
How much I need you too.
And that I, very, very much,
Want to make sweet love to you.

You know my heart, you know my mind
On my forehead you see beads of night,
Of fantasies where you lie beside,
Holding me tightly all through the night!

If I could only hear your thoughts,
I’d provide all that your heart requires.
I’d spend my life just serving you,
If I only knew your deep desires.
