Your Best Is All You Can Do Poem by Francis Duggan

Your Best Is All You Can Do

Your best is all you can do though you may feel 'tis not good enough
But you do hang in there even though the going is tough
You may feel the World is against you but you do hang in there
You have proved you are not a quitter and men like you are rare
You do not give up on life though your back is to the wall
But like the champion boxer you rise after a fall
Though you feel lady luck is not with you and your better days are gone
You do deserve a medal for keeping on keeping on,
Your best is all you can do and you are doing your best
And you've not been found to be wanting when you are put to the test
You often feel suicidal but to such thoughts you will not give in
You will not always be a loser one day you too will win
Your best is all you can do and though you feel your best is not good enough
You manage to hang in there even though the going is tough.
