You Said, Poem by Katiee Laura Clements

You Said,

You said,
' nothing can come between us '
you said,
' no matter what happens ill never forget you '

If i saw you today,
would you recognise me?
would i recognise you?
i think about you everyday,
do you do the same about me?
do you remember me?
remember the times?
the truth & dare games,
the times by the pool.
the time that guy called me a s*** and you turned and smakced him one.
our friendship i miss.
you i long to find.
i never got to say goodbye.
never got that hug,
wish i had a picture,
kills me to say i cant see your face anymore,
dont remember your face,
i hear youve changed,
everybody says they hate the new you,
thats why our family's fell apart,
my family to stubourn and selfish and mean,
your family who cares and loves who you are,
if my family hadnt done what they did,
we would still have eachother.
from what ive heard the new you sounds perfect,
perfect in every way,
its what we used to talk about, each and every day,
its like that song we used to stick on replay.
You said
' ill be like that one day katie '
and i smiled and said
' i know you will. you never let me down, just dont forget me when your big and famous '
you said,
' i could never forget you, no matter what happened, anywhere anytime.'
its been about six years now.
It kills me just writing this.
its more like a letter than a poem.
if i saw you, one more time, i just want to tell you i love you. i want you back. our friendship was meant to last forever.
