You're just somebody
Whom I could have loved
Had miracles happened
Were You not You
And I not I
Had we been there
From the first eternity
To the latter
Just had we not existed so cruelly
In this world of
Determination
Where meetings are curses
And anathemas are degenerates
Where the initial impulses
Are mislaid
While the jaws of the day
Chew the trash.
