You, I, We Poem by Tim Holmes Jr

You, I, We

There you are
There I am
See I have seen you
But then you left me
Yet I didn't follow you
But then you found me
And happy did that make me
And I did make you laugh, yes you
Traded happy times from you
Traded sad times from me
Reconnected as friends me and you
You and I both let us become, we
Therefore, I hurt as you feel pain
My joy became your laughter
We became Us
And us feels better than brand new shoes
But we can't become them
Cause you see, I already have a we
Because we made us...
And we feel love...
Love is what made us into we
Although we can never really be.
