You haven't failed in life my friend,
If you smile to start the day.
And just be steady, don't follow trends,
And on the straight and narrow stay.

You have not failed, when you give your hand,
To someone who has fallen down.
That is the true measure of a descent man,
Cause all worthy deeds come back around.

You have not failed, If you give your time,
So others can have food and rest.
And you give your shirt, and your last dime,
You failed not, you gave your best.
