You Cannot Shoot Down A Shining Star Poem by Kenneth Maswabi

You Cannot Shoot Down A Shining Star

Human beings have a weird sense of humour
Intoxicated by the forces of wickedness
Hatred, jealousy and other rotten ingredients
Driven to do horrible stuff to others
Recklessly ignoring all hardwired spiritual lessons
Only to unleash havoc on others, just for temporal thrills
If you are one of this kind of people, I implore you to stop
It's a behavior that has severe catastrophic ripple effects
Regardless of your motives, it's not worth it
It damages not only the victim and their family
It wrecks havoc on you as well
Sending you straight to hell, forgive my language
'You reap what you sow' is not just a few innocent words
It is a spell cast by the Creator to rid His creation of recklessness and to reward the spirit of goodness
It will haunt you, hunt you down and make you pay
One way or the other, you will pay a terrible price
You cannot shoot down a shining star, it is an abomination
This is not a poem, it is a warning
Spirituality is not a game of thrones
It is not a game at all
It is the fibre of existence itself
Let us allow people to shine
Let us celebrate them and with them
Let us all enjoy the gifts from the Creator
He appears to us through His Shining Stars
Not to torment and torture us
But to give us Hope, Faith and Love
