You And I Poem by DM W

You And I

Rating: 5.0

You have always been keen toplay the system's game.
Whilst I've always found it to be ridiculous.
In your youth, you successfully internalised
Society's norms, while I always questioned them.
You regurgitate what you're told by your ' betters'.
Whilst I've always tried hard to be a free thinker.
You receive your information from the tabloid press,
And so you're regarded as a regular guy.
I research things in depth, and I am branded as
A nuisance; a problem. Where's the justice in that? !
