Yesterday And Today Poem by Muzahidul Reza

Yesterday we got fresh air, food and mind
Shared with neighbor, relative and friend,
Today we find polluted air, food and mind
Have been ill, physically and mentally unfit;

Yesterday we embraced at every meeting
Shacked our hands beside a greeting,
Today we only orally exchange greetings
Mentally find faults, envies and ill feelings;

Yesterday we prayed for one another
Saying God bless and save us from danger,
Today we scold and curse one another
Try to rebuke, offend, harm and endanger;

Yesterday we had some cutters and tools
To use at works and save from wild animals
Today we have dreadful and poisonous weapons
To kill humans, destroy nature and self existence.
