Yearning Poem by Courtney Shanahan

Yearning

Rating: 5.0

Your eyes linger on my face making sure I’m real
I blush as you whisper in my ear
I pose in my new swimmers that hug my curves
Your mouth hangs open
You are a television showing affection
You jump up chasing me around the house
Adrenaline kicks in and I am still running
You catch me in the living room
Pulling me on the lounge you hold me tight
Moments pass by and you draw circles on my stomach
I giggle and squirm because it tickles
Our mouths fit perfectly together like a puzzle
I break free running again
Minutes later we are laying together in my bed
Snuggled up tight in the Egyptian sheets
The moon shines on my face filling me with energy
I fall in deep sleep waking up seconds later alone
It was a dream that my body yearns for
My hormones commit and tears a rolling
