Xmas 07 Poem by brads brads

Xmas 07

That time of year, has come again,
Santa’s work, will soon be done,
The Elves are working, through the night,
Reindeers preparing, for the midnight flight,

The elves are busy, and full of joy,
in Santa’s workshop, full toys,
For all the special, boys and girls,
Christmas day brings, laughter and twirls,

When the temperature drops, on the Icy night,
Jack frost does his rounds, till morning light,
With millions of Sparkles, upon the ground,
The air is magic, with not a sound around,

Snowflakes fall, from out of the sky,
The untouched Snow, fresh as it lies,
The frosty touch, all over the ground,
Covers the festive, seasonal surround,

He puts on his pants, and jacket too,
Dressed in red, putting on his hat and boots,
With A rosy red nose, ready to start the working day,
The elves help Santa, to fill up the sleigh,

The times come, now that I’ve filled my sack,
And managed to lifted it, upon my back,
I’ll take it out, to my big red sleigh,
It’s time that we were, now on our way,

Rudolf takes the lead, as there journey begins,
Above the Roof tops, the sound of carolers sing,
A busy night’s work, for the reindeers and sleigh,
With joy in the heart, and a Jingle all the way,

Down the Chimney he goes, bag and all,
Angel on the tree, standing shiny and tall,
With stockings in a row, on the mantle piece,
Mince pies and carrots, for the workers feast,

Santa’s been, and the kids can’t wait,
Under the tree, Toys and Gifts, ready to celebrate,
Footsteps stealthy, down on the stairs,
Misty morning whispers, to see what’s theirs,

Now that Santa’s job, is now complete,
He’s gone back home, to put up his feet,
The reindeers now tired, time for a sleep,
Same time next year, sooner than you think,

A Christmas wish, can come true,
If you believe in the work, that I do,
Now don’t forget to write me a letter,
Ill work all year to make it better.
