Wrong Turn Song Poem by Alan Reed

Wrong Turn Song

Your hand in mine

Made the sun want to shine

Every road we took

Seemed like a storied book

Your lips of wine

Never tasted so fine

With every kiss I took

Made me take a closer look

But where did I go

To lose you like I did

Makes me feel so low

like a foolish kid

I want you back

‘Cuz I see what I now lack

But you let me leave

Before our hearts could weave

I understand

Know it will never work out

You see my lone hand

There really is no doubt

But I have you still

Know I always will

For my heart still beams

When I hold you in my dreams

Your hand in mine

Made the sun want to shine

And every road we took

Seemed like a storied book
