Writer's Block Poem by Suu Casey Young

Writer's Block

Nothing.
blank screen,
sea of white.
keyboard ready,
but nothing -
nothing to write

Words.
dictionary full,
computer too.
onset of fear,
but words -
words won't appear

Nothing.
fingers ready,
keys to press.
anything will do,
but nothing -
nothing comes through.

Words.
writer's block,
why now i ask.
i’m not that dumb,
but words -
words won’t come.

Nothing.
not anymore,
I have an idea.
I start typing madly,
Because nothing -
nothing was the key.
