Worn Out Shoes Poem by Shirley Harrison

Worn Out Shoes

She was a daydreamer

one who actually lived out her fantasies

her charm would have bowled anyone over

a mind of pure genius

anything could have sparked a poem

if she'd just let her imagination steer

she could have written a thousand books

maybe she did?

but her greatest love

was to dance every night

until the break of dawn
with Mr Bojangles.
