World As Maya Poem by Dr. Yogesh Sharma

World As Maya

This world is an illusion for me,
Staring from my closet with my eyes,
The vividness and the mystery of the cosmos;
The ensign of diverse shades, the flora;
The marvels and the unfamiliar around me;
Nothing but Maya and a delusion.
My words extol the celestial unity,
Elegance encases me, grandeur lifts my spirit.
When I have been fascinated by splendour,
Devotion creating matchless emotions, obsessions;
When I am passive, incarcerated and caged;
When Angels sentry me and enfold me;
When compassion and generosity has besieged me;
Then no space for sin and who is looking for pardon?
But images of heaven and perdition of gulf is a mere illusion!
