she thinks
that hobbies
should never be occupations
because dreamers dont earn
paychecks
just some of the thoughts
from the same woman
who encourages me with well intentioned but sadly misguided hopes
to find
nice
jewish boys
and would undoubtedly favor
a marriage
to a wealthy doctor
even if he beat me like her first husband did her
black eyes are
forgivable
in her world
if he has money
enough to buy flowers
time and time and time and time again
which say
im sorry
without words
or real
meaning
