Words Poem by John Collins Areyayefa

Words

Little words can make a mighty man cry.
There exist truth in every lie
As lie in every truth.
Father told me
Wisdom possess an eagle eye.
Look closely and you shall find treasures within.
Words begot men’s qualifications
And inscribe my name in golden medals

The expansion of mother tongue
Is modern civilization
Ask the bee and they shall tell of it
Words told the untold pain past
Words of encouragement and there shall be strength to conquer.
Words can be heal or simply destroy.
The world is voicing different paths.
Competing to be beat my ear drum.
So I could dance merrily to it’s rhythm
words like wind,
Commanding easy paths.
And what path shall I dance?
The dilemma of the infant.
With no words found
Little crying baby calls
Only mother understood what need
such accuracy is motherly gesture.
The deaf is not dump,
But a voiceless tongue
Humbly, humbly
The words expressed
Words begot the world
