Wonderment: A Song Of Buddhist Faith Poem by Richard St. Clair

Wonderment: A Song Of Buddhist Faith

I've come to have a different sort of faith
Devoid of all the dogma preaching fear:
Instead I feel a truer savior near
And not the Christians' god, their holy wraith.
In new awakening I sing a song
Of universal love, the Buddha's truth;
I feel in every bone, in every tooth
A saving grace redeeming every wrong.
How the Buddha saves me do I wonder
How he changes all my karma, how
Enlightenment it will become, yes now
The bonds of birth and death are torn asunder;
The mystery of Amida Buddha's Light,
It's opening my eyes, a wondrous sight!
