Woman, You are human form of Janaki (english translation of 'स्त्री तुम हो जानकी' Poem by Brajendra Nath Mishra

Woman, You are human form of Janaki (english translation of 'स्त्री तुम हो जानकी'

Woman, You are human form of Janaki

Woman you are Janaki
From the womb of the earth,
The plough of labor,
Taking the human form.
You are human form of Janaki

Ever since you came into this world
Have limitations prescribed for you,
With dolls as a child,
Then with female friends
With the husband;
Then with kids
Life is divided into sections,
The fountain of your life still kept flowing,
Woman, you are human form of Janaki

you shared all the happiness
At home, among everyone,
In the masses.
Concealing your dreams every moment,
You do not desire any gold for you,
With the fear of
Being forcefully kidnapped by any Rawan.

Your tears like flowing fountain,
And solitude thy life;
Surrounded in security in Ashok - forest.
you pass the acid testin life
Every second every moments.

But you are incarnation of strength and power
Generates enthusiasm in life,
Woman, You are human form of Janaki

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
This poem was written just as my inner desire to depict the stages of struggle in the life of a woman particularly in Indian society context. From the age of Treta Yug, the woman like Janki, wife of Lord Rama has to pass through acid tests which still continues..
