Woman Or Demon? Poem by Rajendran Muthiah

Woman Or Demon?

It saddens me to think, you've thrown me out
of your heart that with sadistic rhythm beats.
A mis-sent message has made you yell and shout
and your mean reply into my joy eats.

To seek sojourn in loose hearts, I'm not a bee;
but in sharing knowledge, I lose no delight.
All my fans, men and maids peck at my mind free
but into my heart only you'd alight.

You will not be betrayed even in my thought.
As a poetic refugee, bereft of thirst
My efforts to flight my wings come to nought.
For the faults not made, let me not be cursed.

Turn your face and call me by eyes, if you're a woman.
Dishearten me and despise me, if you're ademon.
