Without A Husband Or Wife, Nobody Could Happily Survive

I left Bangalore leaving my ailing wife bed-ridden
Disabled, speechless, struggling for breath often
My presence was her only confidence and strength
To be by the side her for all the hours at length

But with our utmost bad luck, I had to leave her alone
Keeping her in despair, making her body and mind torn
What could I do more for her wellness, and benefit?
I, myself am crippled, handicapped, and physically unfit

Coming back home, apart from each other and alone
Became an isolated existence, shocked, and morne
I lament my dear, after our marriage life of 38 years
We are forced to separate; my eyes outburst in tears

I feel at every step of my walks and, at every breath
My wife beautified my life with essence and a wreath
Without her, I have, in my life no pleasure, no passion
I often outburst the cry; am I proceeding to depression
