Within the shadows I have waited
Without hope, without dreams
Almost forgetting light itself

Becoming more than numb
Feeling less, wanting less
Caring for naught – save air

Now, warmth touches me
Thawing hope, thawing dreams
Returning what was lost

Light, light illuminates me
Feeling more, wanting more
Feeding on my dormancy

Taking on the darkness
Giving hope, arousing dreams
Growing brighter and brighter

So – rises the sun
Giving life, arousing joy
Reincarnating my soul.
