Withdrawing God's Presence In The Dark Night. Poem by Genova Maaa my mother

Withdrawing God's Presence In The Dark Night.

Rating: 5.0

The self is forcibly detached
from the imperfect
and the perfect is withdrawn
leaving behind an overwhelming
conviction of a lost treasure.

To some the consciousness
of the Absolute
takes the form of divine companionship,
and for them the objective idea

of God becomes the centre fact of life.

For them it seems as though that God,
having shown Himself,
has now deliberately withdrawn
His Presence in the Dark Night.

- - -For them it seems as though that God, having shown Himself, has now deliberately withdrawn His Presence in the Dark Night.- - - God of divine purity, this is such a beautiful poem. It actually speaks of God's nature and thereby we continually aspire to possess His divine nature and this is what God wants. There's a contrast between light and darkness. To possess The Light of God is to awaken consciousness. Thank you for such a wonderful write.
