i take back
everything that you
are a part of
look behind not of
what has passed
lingers in mind but
not by heart

illuminate me with
your sadness but
not joy
i am noone and
nevertheless nothing
without your wings

i try to find this
happy place they say
but not in my wildest
did i ever imagine
to smile in day and
in night

it is far more exciting
to feel both ways than
be like a dead leaf
withered and unexperienced

so i thought maybe
this time i would jump
into the deep of realm
have some breath
take a pause
close my eyes and
i am with you.
