Winter Years Poem by Dorsey Baker

Winter Years

Rating: 5.0

A shovel into
The heavy snow dug deep
An icy path
Cut out of worn
Yesterday

How many worms eat
They feast upon
Flesh that has
Wasted away

Past is spring
With it flowers of
Beautiful bloom
And summer laughs out loud
As it's leaving

Winter has arrived
And everything that was flowing
Now it's frozen!

A shovel into ‘An icy path Cut out of worn Yesterday'… fantastic poetic experience. Good one, dear poet
