Winter's Child Poem by Tyra Falconwing

Winter's Child

I hear the voices all around me
The whispers surround
Tell me the secrets of what is to be
They murmur the truth about me

My fate has been sealed
I’ve got no where else to run
The truth is that it is real
My future has come undone

Winter has altered me
Frozen my heart inside
Given me control of the endless sea
Now I’m nothing but a freak

Steely eyes on my saddened face
Icy aqua glaze tore you away
White hair spiked with gluey paste
And a frown that frosts your heart

An ice-covered soul
In a broken homeless boy
Wintry powers that freeze out of my control
Somebody please help me

The voices shout I’m the one
The one that will never be somebody
The voices scream I’m Winter’s son
The son that foreshadowed to be a let down

All around me they scream
I’m the freak
It may seem
That I’m the loser to you

But I didn’t ask for this
These damned powers of mine
It is the reality I miss
But I can’t turn back

Winter pushes me foreward
Into the violent storm
Now a blizzard has formed
All because of me

All because I am the freak…
