Wind Poem by Khalid Mansour Saleh

Wind

The sun sets in the west

yet rises in the east

The air is still yet the wind blows cold

Like a revolution from east to west.

The grass will become greener

It will remove the blood red stains

laying dormant on the cold black ground.

Together they will merge and unify as one.

The blood of the innocent cry for the blood of the guilty.

Blue skies bring hope

Sunshine brings warmth

Yet with night brings terror.

The warm beating sun creates life, movement

the young become old the old become wise

With each passing step unity beckons.

42 walls close in on the people

it stops at 43, as the wind changes

so two does life,

rising up towards the sun

I welcome you spring, and the birth of youth.
