William Shakespeare Poem by Phil Soar

William Shakespeare

When Shakespeare died in 1616
Perhaps to die, perchance to dream
His words would continue for hundreds of years
With thou arts and twaddle, and subsequent jeers

Some say he was great as a playwright and poet
Was wise and remarkable, just didn't know it
Yet when I have read stuff that Shakespeare had penned
I don't understand it, from start until end
