a child sits on a swing
the breeze flows through her hair
her chance of living
is slim to rare

no longer will she dream
of the rising sun
so young of age
and her lifes already done

with hope in her heart
she looks at your face
she's nothing more
than an angel fallen from grace

she asks you a question
simple yet true
one thats to be shared
just between you two

she asks you to live
to live your life for her
take advantage of each day
let not one become blur

for each day should be remembered
when your given the gift of life
live it in happiness
without conflict or strife

so says the child, 'i understand
how things have to be
now i leave you this question
will you live your life for me? '
