Wild Things Poem by ari' anna arena

Wild Things

For Reb

Tu e nulla di nuova
ma ache di cuore
Selvatici cosa

Nothing much now
but a wild moon

A hidden star

Sound
of our voices

Scratching
against
the dark

Affection
is never
accidental

Affinity
is never
incidental

You take
what you
want

The faces
of you

So
nonchalant

Then blank

Then gone

Like a
wild thing

You were
all
along

Is love a thought?

Pleasure sought?

In the wild
we forgot

Nulla di male
piu di niente
Selvatici cosa

Wild things say

Stay in your heart
Let no one in
Live inside
Stay apart

You and I
once had
all the hours
in the world

We were
wild things

Unfettered

Unfurled

love

Coming apart

Crashing
and true

You

beside
yourself

Me

inside
you
