Wife Forgives Killer Elephant Poem by Josh Bashline

Wife Forgives Killer Elephant

Bobbo was a clown with an elephant too.
Traveling the world and working in a zoo.
Vaselli and Margaret were a couple to match.
Their love running wild, it was hard to catch.

For their anniversary they went to the zoo.
Where Bobbo the clown worked and his elephant too.
Bobbo and the beast worked together, matching step by step.
However Bobbo didn’t know that for many days the elephant hadn’t slept.

One thing led to another,
and the love birds looked at each other.
When all of a sudden the elephant crushed Vaselli’s head,
falling on the pore Russian like a 1000 pound piece of lead.

Vaselli yelled and cried,
and soon after he died,
leaving Margaret alone.

Bobbo was furious with the elephant, you could tell by his tone.
But Margaret saw something in Bobbo shed never seen before.
Looking threw the ugly makeup and the horrible wig she went to his clown core.

Bobbo had the passion Vasseli once had.
She then realized she wasn’t sad at Vasseli’s death, she was glad.

They loved each other and there was no denying it.
The flame in their passionate heart was now lit.
She screamed “I love you!
And Bobbo screamed it too.

The two left the dead Vasseli and the clumsy beast.
Never looking back and blaming the creature, they moved to the Middle East.
