Why I Read Your Love Poems Poem by Tom Navarro

Why I Read Your Love Poems

I need to remind my mind
That the heart is greater than the brain
That I'm tied to your kiss kind
Dying to salve your pain.

I want to read to myself
Your dulcet words that embrace
Pouring your sauce with little help
Wedding our souls with rhyming lace.

I need your poetry to keep me alive
I am love and through your words I thrive
Hoping your heart on letters I imbibe
It will prolong the days of our lives.
