Why Do I Try?

why do I hope?
why do I try?
why do I wish?
and
why do I cry?
I hope for a better tomorrow
when I know it will never come
I try to impress my family
and just end up looking dumb
I wish I could be happy
when I know I never will
I cry because it's the easiest thing to do
and I cry because I've lost my faith in you
