Why Am I So Shy? Poem by Jay W. Allen

im shy because thats the kind of person i am
i like meeting new people, but only people like me
maybe they get me and understand me
we have things in common

But i dont expect them to always agree with whatever i do
there are some people like that
that could be your friend but go against you at all costs
and nothing can change their mind

i dont talk much around new friends
unless they think that im worth it
i need to be active around them as much as possible
to -like i said- understand me

nobody is alike, even if we are twins
your personality is different in every way
even if it doesnt seem it
we cant describe everything we see in a person just by looking at them

its important to like/love somebody not just for their looks,
but by the way they act, their personality, their virtues
a true friend is the best thing you can get
and there is nothing better

so like i said, just because i am shy,
doesnt mean that you cant meet new people
venture out and make true friends
there are very few left
