Whose To Blame Poem by Ethan Connolly

Whose To Blame

You are not alone
With these feelings
Like you're lost
In this world
You start Rebelling
In school
Get yourself
Put in a lone room
You become another statistic
another kid the state gives up on
You are not alone
I was that kid
I couldn't sit still in a classroom
I couldn't interpret
So I was made to feel stupid
Then they wonder
Why I lashed out
And blamed the state
Started political activism
To make a change
I'll get there eventually
Because no child
Should be made
To feel stupid
