Who You Are Poem by Michelle Cook

Who You Are

Rating: 4.3

the eyes
these eyes of mine
on the outside
looking in
i seem fine
but you're blind
to the pain and struggle
always on the double
got my rivals swarming me
they're tying to bust my bubble
they think i'll fall
wanting me to take a tumble
so i'll crawl
build up strength
until i can give it my all
then i'll make it
it's so amazing
i'm getting closer
inching forward
to the goal
until i can take it
because it's mine
and in time
you will see
there's no competition
only people wishing
they were me
trying to hard
to be the star
of the show
but they're to cold
they'd never make it
couldn't even fake it
it is my role
only i can play it
you can try
but don't push to far
to be something you're not
just be true to
who you are

Not bad...I think you are naturally good at expressing what you are trying to say, but you should perhaps try to add more depth in your writing, just an advice though. Cheers =)
