Who Stole My Thunder Poem by Cee Bea

Who Stole My Thunder

Who stole my Thunder
How did it get away
Lightning has not seen it
Neither has the rain

Blue sky he wont say a word
He shed a million tears
Big lake thinks Im crazy
I find crazy dear

From Lighting I have not heard..
I find it somewhat absurd
that lightening
Thinks thunder gets more
Attention than deserved

I feel like I am on the
Proverbial Sinking ship,
Not filling by gallons
But it is a constant drip

In self sustained mass attrition
Fire dances in delight
Takes away from vision
Gives the day back sight

the winged are not fooled
They know the day
& The day
does not act
That way

Who stole my Thunder
How did it get away
Lighting has not seen it
Neither has the rain

My saving grace
I clear cut case
Of multiple miscues
Running amuck running askew
Asking questions
But afraid of asking you

I tried that once, tried it twice
Then without warning
Came the vice
She didn't knock, didn't ring
Just came right in
began to sing
I thought it merely a light heart fling
She thought.
other things

Now I sit here in the soul struck pain
All the Lighting, all the rain
All the rain, all the rain
The rain.. that wont refrain
from raining on down, on me

Who stole my Thunder
How did I let it get away
Lighting has not seen it..
has
Had enough of Thunders Pain
