I have known few poets
read by their wife husband
read by their close partners

I have known few poets
read by any circle friends
unless friends are poets

poets write poems
poets read poets
poets read poems

You are correct, many people read poetry from books and other sites, people look up famous poets and poets on this site also, a few comment; but mainly active poets comment on this site, some write more, some comment more. The poem address what seems obvious, poets not wives, husbands, relatives, or friends comment the most. This is normal, we have the interest in poetry, normally they do not.
