White Cold Hell Poem by Jennifer Woodland

White Cold Hell

The snow falls heavy and thick
A white blanket of despair
It traps me in this place
Wind laughs at the pain
Mocking me with each blast
Snow keeps falling faster
Covering my hopes and dreams
I have to leave, escape somehow
Stone walls keep me safe and warm
Yet confine me to solitude
This isn’t the happiness
Once found as a child
It’s now a white hell
But such a beautiful hell it is.
