Where are they gone to
When they claim to still be
The laughter and smiles
The talks and whispers
How have they let emptiness take their place
Without haste
Who saw them go by
Who has seen them here?
Their promises are here, unfulfilled
Not tendered anymore
Without the shoulder for me to lean on
Their counsel has fallen dead to all my brokenness
They are all deteriorated into empty silence
I look across my window
And the straying lank watches me back
Like it swallowed them live
And I want to fill my chest in
With new laughter of a new sound
The smile of a new feel
